1993年ナイジェリア生まれ。
ラゴス大学でビジュアル・アートを学ぶ。南アのヨハネスブルグ大学に在籍しながら創作活動を続けている。
細くカットした紙を丸めて貼り付けるクイリングというペーパークラフトの手法を使って、作品を作り出している。
大きな目をもつキュートな女性のモチーフには、個人的体験から社会構造に至るまで、性差別、黒人のアイデンティティ、権力、神話等のテーマが多層的に込められている。
Ayobola was born 1993 in Nigeria, and studied Visual Arts at the University of Lagos. She is enrolled at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. She creates her artwork using a papercraft technique called quilling, which involves cutting thin pieces of paper and pasting them together.
The motif of a cute woman with big eyes is multilayered with themes ranging from her personal experiences to social structures, including sexism, black identity, power, and mythology.

Elephant in the Room seriesの作品「タンザニアでヤギ、パパイヤ、ウズラから陽性反応」。粗悪なコロナ検査キットでヤギやフルーツからも陽性反応がでたというニュースを皮肉ったもの。”elephant in the room" は、「その場にいる誰もが認識しているが、話題にすることを避けている大きな問題」という意味の英語イディオム。
